So I had a torts exam today (thats my torts book right there)and I felt really good about it. I went in, I went HARD and afterwards I was like...I'm so nice! Tell me why, we were supposed to skip lines AND we weren't supposed to write on the backside of the pages (WHAAATTT?!?!?!?!) I didn't either of those. I don't know how I missed that detail in the instructions, mad triflin right?!...hope my professor doesn't penalize me too much for that. We'll see...

Wednesday is Rib Night at IKEA

So I just moved down to Orlando, FL and I am in the process of furnishing my apartment. I was on IKEA's website looking for a coffee table and I didn't find any furniture that I was interested in, BUT I discovered that Wednesday is rib night at IKEA!? How random is that!? Ribs at a Swedish furniture store? Whose ribs are these, cos I know yall sell leather couches too! you didn't think anybody would put it together did you? Sike, I'm playin but yeah, Rib Night is every Wednesday at IKEA from 4:00p til close and kids 12 and under eat free from 5:30p. You get 1/2 rack of baby back ribs, french fries and cornbread for $7.99.

I Heard Lebron Got DUNKED ON!!

Apparently Bron-Bron got dunked on in a pick up game at the Lebron James Sills Academy by Xavier player Jordan Crawford. There are reports of an existing videotape of the alleged dunk, but Nike Representatives confiscated the tape because they said that video-taping was not allowed (http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=4315071). If that is true thats messed up. Lebron should laugh at the fact that an Xavier player dunked on him. He should chuckle and say, "Good Job..but I still went to the league outta highschool!" Ok, maybe not that, but like, don't take the tape..it makes you look bitchmade, I understand that his pride may have been a little hurt but, you gotta be better than that..here's crawford talking about the dunk...

I still can't believe that Michael Jackson is dead. I was in Wal-Mart last Thursday when my mother called me all frantic talkin about "Michael Jackson died!!" I have a bad habit of spreading around information that isn't entirely true, so before I sent a text message broadcasting the news, I checked it out on my blackberry first...I found out for my self that the King of Pop was in fact dead. It's sooooo weird. And the even crazier part is that the WHOLE WORLD is so sad and upset but most of us never knew him personally. He had some kinda power about him. I heard a few days ago that the first boy that pressed charges against him for child molestation confessed that it was all a lie and his father made him do it for the money. bitch. I also heard that MJ was not the biological father to his children. figures-they were pretty white looking. Whatever else comes out about MJ in the news doesn't really matter...he may be gone but he will always be one of the most sought after people...ever. He was kind and caring. a musical genius, an amazing dancer and just...dope. Yeah, he was kinda weird but all the great ones are.

So apparently the coolest couple on the block aint too cool anymore...Who knows what is true or not, but according to damn near every website everywhere...Chris done punched Ri Ri in the face.... :( bruises and all...I must say I am very sad cuz I love Chris, and Rihanna is a superstar...I just thought ya'll should know...Damn Chris, Damn

Asher Paul Roth

Look out for this kid. 22 year old Morrisville, PA native Asher Paul Roth got my attention and he's nobody you wanna sleep on. He was featured in XXL's December issue alongside, Charles Hamilton, B.O.B., Kid Cudi, Wale and a few other "Freshman" on rise in the hip hop community. I like Asher because he's the silly white kid who doesn't take himself too serious. I almost feel like I know him...he reminds me of someone I may have went to school with. He's lyrically skilled too, he sounds a little like Eminem but his flow is different. He's a kid from the suburbs and Eminem is from 8 mile...he talks about what he knows and its completely different than anything Em ever spoke about. He has a mixtape with DJ Drama and Don Cannon called The Greenhouse Effect Vol. 1. (Download it at http://www.thedailykush.com/). So yeah...like I said...look out for this guy and check out his mixtape AND another song by him called "I Love College" (it didn't make it on the mixtape) it's the undergraduate anthem of the year...a real feel good song...so for the last time...AsherRoth AsherRoth AsherRoth

Happy New Year 2009!

2008 was a year of new beginnings, bittersweet endings and a proper amount of random moments in between. I wanted to do a 'year in review' post but I'm not focused enough to do that right now. So the most I can do is drop some pearls of advice: Leave the drama behind you, get your swaggers right, learn to pinch pennies to survive this recession and stay close to the ones you love.
